SOHO MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME
Building the structure around 110+ mentorship journeys.
I helped establish and lead the Soho Mentorship Programme in Berlin, connecting more than 110 emerging creatives from underrepresented backgrounds with carefully matched mentors across the creative industries. As Programme Lead, I oversaw the full 16-week journey: talent outreach and recruitment, applications and interviews, mentor sourcing, matching, participant communications, live events and ongoing mentorship support. Across the programme, I’ve facilitated more than 50 workshops and group sessions, designing formats around creative development, industry access, confidence-building and meaningful exchange. I worked closely with Soho House, mentors and participants to carry each cohort from recruitment through to graduation.
Facilitating introductions is easy. The real work is creating the conditions for relationships to take root, deepen and flourish.
Connecting the right people, not simply filling pairs.
Each cohort meant understanding what individual mentees were trying to build, where they needed support and who could meaningfully help them move forward. I interviewed applicants, reviewed portfolios and mapped their ambitions, disciplines and needs against the experience, perspective and networks within the mentor community. The matching process considered more than professional field: personality, lived experience, communication style and the kind of guidance each person would benefit from shaped the pairing. From there, I facilitated the relationship through structured touchpoints, workshops and events designed to build confidence, expand networks and turn access into something participants could actually use.
